Former 4th generation member of Morning MusumeRika Ishikawa gives birth to a baby boy!
When she made the announcement, she said that she was very moved by the birth and the chance to meet her baby for the very first time. She also revealed that she had gotten advice from other Morning Musume members that had given birth and that she hopes to grow with her child. This is certainly welcome news for fans of the group. Ishikawa who is now 33 began her career in the entertainment industry in 2000. Her husband is baseball player Ryoma Nogami who now plays for the Yomiuri Giants. However when Ishikawa married him in March 2017, he was playing for the Saitama Seibu Lions. Congratulations to Rika Ishikawa and Ryoma Nogami!
I just found out that former Morning Musume member Rika Ishikawa is planning on getting married? Or is she?
According to Sports Hochi, Ishikawa and her partner Ryoma Nogami are planning on getting married sometime this year. Once Ishikawa gets married, she will be the next former Morning Musume member to get married. the last former Morning Musume member to get married was Risa Niigaki. Niigaki married actor Yoshkazu Kotani on July 11, 2016. Nogami is a baseball pitcher for the Saitama Seibu Lions baseball team. It was reported back in August 2014 that Ishikawa was dating Nogami. When that news was first made public, the couple had been dating for over a year.
Ishikawa has released several photo books including her 2004 photo book called Hana Bi. She is part of a duo with Hitomi Yoshizawa called Hangry & Angry. Ishikawa was also the former leader of the unit called v-u-den with Erika Miyoshi and Yui Okada.
Ishikawa in August 2011 revealed that all of the Morning Musume members would drink citric acid so that they did not feel tired the next day. Ishikawa, 32, has had to deal with muscle cramps in her career as a singer. Congratulations to Ishikawa and Nogami as they start a new chapter in their life! As soon as I find out more details, I will keep you posted.
Most fans of Japanese pop music singer Rika Ishikawa will remember her as being a 4th generation member of the girl group Morning Musume. Yes, this beautiful singer from Kanagawa was a member of that group but she was also a member of the Hello! Project unit called Country Musume. Ishikawa was in Country Musume from 2001until the summer of 2003. During that time, the leader of the group was Rinne Toda. After Toda graduated from the group in 2002, Asami Kimura took over as leader of Country Musume. But while Ishikawa was busy performing in both Country Musume and Morning Musume, she received a part in Morning Musume’s 12th single called “The Peace!” Ishikawa did not sing on the song but she had a spoken part near the end of the song. The Peace! became a favorite of Ishikawa’s and she says that the spoken part near the end of the song is one of her favorite moments of being involved with Morning Musume. As of the end of 2013, Morning Musume is now called Morning Musume 14. Ishikawa would leave Country Musume in 2003 with the entry of Miuna Saitou. Rika Ishikawa is best known for being in Morning Musume at the same time as Ai Kago, Nozomi Tsuji, and her friend Hitomi Yoshizawa. Ishikawa has also acted in movies. Some of her roles were in movies such as Pinch Runner (2000), Seventeen (2003), and Yo-Yo Girl Cop (2006). Ishikawa sings on Country Musume’s debut album called Country Musume Daizenshuu 1. It is a decent pop music album to listen to but it is not as exciting as the songs written by Morning Musume or AKB48. This debut album was released in December 2001.
In August 2014, Ishikawa revealed that she is dating Ryoma Nogami, a baseball player who plays for the Saitama Seibu Lions. This is the first romance for Ishikawa. Rika Ishikawa is what is known as a Japanese idol singer. These people usually start working in the industry in their teenage years and are supposed to present an image of being very cute. They hold regular performances on stage in theaters. They meet and greet fans, and they are also supposed to dress up in a certain way. They also wear the traditional Japanese school girl uniforms. But one thing that they are not allowed to do when they are a member of these idol groups is to date someone romantically. Groups such as Morning Musume and AKB48 have a no dating policy. Rika Ishikawa has been in the entertainment industry since 2000 and she is still active and doing well. She is also one of the most beautiful Japanese pop music singers out there. I would say that Ishikawa has a more beautiful kind of look to her whereas singers like Ai Kago or Makoto Ogawa have more of a cute kind of look. Nonetheless, throughout its history, Morning Musume has had many popular Japanese idols and Rika Ishikawa is one of my favorites!
There is another former Morning Musume member that is now in a relationship. On August 5, 2014, there was a report that reveals that former Morning Musume singer Rika Ishikawa, 29 is in a relationship with Ryoma Nogami. Nogami is a baseball pitcher for the Saitama Seibu Lions. After the release of the report, Ishikawa admitted this on her personal blog. Ishikawa said that she is surprised because this is her first romance. She said that she will try her best and encouraged fans to support her. Ishikawa also made news in January 2013 when she met and talked to AKB48 member Yuki Kashiwagi. Kashiwagi had mentioned Ishikawa’s name several times and Rika had wanted to meet her and work with her. Kashiwagi is not only known for being a member of one of the most famous musical groups in the world but this cute 23 year-old is also a member of the AKB48 sub-unit called French Kiss. French Kiss also features Team B captain and gorgeous girl Asuka Kuramochi. Joining Kuramochi is the really sexy Aki Takajo. According to the report that was released, Nogami and Ishikawa began dating at the end of 2013. Ishikawa is not the only Japanese singer or idol to announce that she is in a relationship. In 2013, former AKB48 singer and center Atsuko Maeda announced that she was dating actor Onoe Matsuya.
Rika Ishikawa joined idol group Morning Musume back in 2000 along with Hitomi Yoshizawa, Nozomi Tsuji, and Ai Kago. She was part of the group’s fourth generation. That generation preceded the fifth generation. The fifth generation included Asami Konno, Makoto Ogawa, and the very cute Risa Niigaki. Yoshizawa and Ishikawa would form a dance pop duo called Hangry & Angry in 2008 and then they would go to the United States in April 2009 and hold a concert in Seattle, Washington. Rika Ishikawa was also a member of the huge label known as Hello! Project. Her reason for leaving that label was to start a career as a gravure model. Ishikawa joins a list of many Japanese celebrities that have become gravure models. One of these is Saitama born beauty Yoko Mitsuya whom I really think is one of the sexiest bikini models I have ever seen. And of course, who can forget about Yoko Matsugane and busty babe Harumi Nemoto? Rika Ishikawa has also released photo books such as the one in 2004 called Hana Bi. There are many of these idol singers that have released photo books. One of the most notable idols to have done so is AKB48’s Mayu Watanabe. Watanabe 20, released her debut photo book called Mayuyu back in 2011. Congratulations to Rika Ishikawa as she continues with her career while trying to balance the romance. Rika Ishikawa goes by her most common nickname of Charmy but she is also known as Rika-chan.
Former Morning Musume member Maki Goto has recently revealed details regarding her weight on her blog. She has been absent from entertainment related activities for over 2.5 years and she is now back. Of all the former Morning Musume members that I have written about, Maki Goto is not one of them. On a July 2nd blog entry, Goto wrote that she weighs 43 kilograms or 94.6 pounds. Goto also said that it would be best if she could keep it at this range. Choreographer Mayumi Natsu had very nice things to say about Goto, saying that her abilities are #1 among Morning Musume and AKB48 members. Goto was very joyful upon hearing these words and she described herself as a fortunate person. She values every piece of her happiness.
As of the beginning of this year, Morning Musume now goes by the name of Morning Musume 14. The name change was made by the group’s producer TSUNKU. The group has been making news especially recently. It was revealed that Sayumi Michishige who has been with the group since 2003 announced her decision to graduate from the group following a concert that will take place this fall. There were discussions between Michishige, her producer, and her agency about the time to graduate and the fall concert was determined to be the best time for her to do so. Maki Goto was part of Morning Musume’s 3rd generation and she is the only member of that generation. Preceding Goto was the 2nd generation of members which included the lovely Kei Yasuda. And even before this generation was the first generation which includes Yuko Nakazawa who began her career with the group in 1997 at the age of 24.
Goto is not the only former Morning Musume member to announce a return to the entertainment industry. Former member Ai Kago returned to the entertainment industry after forming a three member unit called Girls Beat!! And Asuka Fukuda also made her return after a long absence as well. Fukuda is now a member of the group called Peace$tone, a group that she formed back in 2011. Following Goto’s tenure with Morning Muusme came the fourth generation of members which included the mentioned Ai Kago, Nozomi Tsuji, and Rika Ishikawa who made news when she met and talked to the very cute Yuki Kashiwagi of AKB48. After that generation came the fifth generation with members Ai Takahashi, Risa Niigaki, Asami Konno, and Makoto Ogawa. Takahashi of course has also done work as a bikini model, appearing in FLASH Magazine back in 2011 showing her great bikini body! It was on May 27, 2010 that Takahashi attended a release event for her photo book called Katachi prior to her graduation from Morning Musume. Maki Goto joined Morning Musume back in 1999 as a young 13 year-old. She would remain with the group until 2002 and then she would “graduate” from the group to pursue a solo career. Atsuko Maeda of AKB48 also graduated to pursue a solo singing career of her own as well as to focus on becoming an actress.
